Have a Purrfect Day!
I had bought these cat's from Scrapmats last year and had no idea what I was going to do with them, I just know that I loved them.
I decided on a very simple design. When I was about 12 a neighbour of ours worked on a farm and brought home a black and white kitten, lets just say it would have had no future as he was not allowed to keep it, so I rescued him (the cat), Flash I called him as he was black with a flash of white on his head and chest.
While this is nothing like Flash thinking of those memories gave me the colour combination for this tag.

Items Used; 6" Glitz Paper Pack - Pretty in Pink. Scrapmatts Tag, Scrapmatts cats, Stamp of paw print and stamp with "have a purrfect day" both from a set that was in a stamping magazine some time ago. Archival chalk ink pad, versa Magic in cloud white, Zing embossing powder in white opaque finish Both from Spotlight. Mitsubishi uniball Signo in white. Small piece of cotton.
1) I picked a paper from the 6' Glitz paper pack which was nearly black. The pack is antiqued pinks and browns, the page I chose has a chalk board look. I glued this to the tag, let it dry and cut it to the tag shape.
2) Next ink the tag with the versa Mark and sprinkle some embossing powder onto the shape. I then used a heat gun to set the embossing powder. let this cool.
3) Back to the tag, place a scrap piece of paper over the tag leaving 1/2 inch (3cm) on the bottom. I then used the paw stamp with the versa mark chalk pad and stamped random over the bottom 3cm. Place the cat on the tag for position and stamp with the paw stamp diagonally across the top edge of the tag, leave enough space for the saying.
4) Glue the cat in place, press until stuck. Using your fingers roll the cotton piece into a ball leaving a small piece dangling. Glue this in position near the cat.
5) Stamp the saying with the versa mark chalk pad, dry and using the white uni-ball pen go over the saying. I also used this pen to draw in the border pattern.
I forgot to draw in some black whiskers on the face, but I also like the clean lines of this tag so may leave it alone now.
Oh, by the way, Flash lived a long and happy life.
Happy painting!
