Bookmark number 1 - continued on from the last post I used Liquitex Matte medium to stick the hot air balloons that I had decorated. I used my black Staedtler permanent Lumocolour pen to outline the balloons. The sparkle I added with DecoArt Glamour dust - ice crystal - extra fine glitter paint.
Then I printed out my saying onto copy paper, (Enjoy the Beauty of a short flight, Follow Jesus and by God's Grace that flight will last an Eternity) coloured this with H2O's, dried and cut it out to fit the bookmark.
I used the matte medium to glue the words to the bookmark, when dry I outlined them with my black pen. They are covered with Glossy accents by Ranger. Put aside to let this dry and then add some cord or ribbons through the hole in the top. Hope you Enjoyed!
Bookmark number 2 - Using brown Stazon stamp pad and a stamp with words I stamped this randomly onto the background. I used the seal stamp from Kaisercraft stamping this twice onto card stock. I also drew two circus stands onto the same paper along with a small circle for the ball. I coloured these in with my Pitt pens before cutting them out.
Use the Matte medium to stick them down onto the bookmark when dry I used the glamour dust over the seals and ball. Decorated them with my black pen, white Signo pen, Silver Signo pen. (the small black dots on the seals are in the stamp) I drew the flags with my black pen colouring them in with a Pitt pen, please note the background colour darkened the pen colour, so I used the silver pen to dot around them.
Bookmark number 3 - This one was the easiest and more Fun to do, by now I was really enjoying the process after a shaky start. I must add I have a Sinus infection and maybe should not have even started them, then again who knows.
My stamps for this bookmark was a flower by Dylusions. Some time ago I made a few backgrounds with Inktence blocks onto watercolour paper, I liked these so I photo copied a few of them onto some thicker paper than I would normally use in my printer. It was using one of these copied backgrounds that I stamped the 3 smaller flowers from the card stamp set by Dylusions x 3. Layering the 3 sizes with a spot of Glossy accents, giving me 3 flowers. I ended up using the same as a glue to place the 3 flowers and to stick down all the petals as I did not want them sticking up on a bookmark.
The centre's I placed a dot of glue and added some tiny beads, left them to dry overnight. Next I used my black pen to mark the two larger flower layers of each flower, and the white pen around the smaller flower layer, using the same white pen to dot into the flower centre's.
I printed out my saying, coloured with H2O's and stuck them in position.
I hope you had Fun in reading this, all of the items I have used making these bookmarks has been from items that I have had in storage so it was fun to get them out and use them. Thankyou for all the students and friends that have given me a variety of products as gifts over the years, I now have a chance to use them.
